Junior Academy 2010 Application

Junior Academy trains men and boys how to operate a Junior Leadership Academy. Leaders and boys meet certain criteria before attending. Trainees will be taught organizational skills needed to run a district Junior Leadership Academy. Upon graduation trainees will be eligible to serve on the staff of any Junior Training Camp.

The Junior Academy is for Expedition Ranger who has completed AJTC and Commander who has completed NTC. The purpose is to equip and empower them to serve as staff in our Junior Leader Training Academy.

JLTA 2010 Applications

The Junior Leadership Training Academy will be held from 17-20 March 2010. There will be the following camps available for junior commanders;

Adventure Training Camp (ATC)
Junior Training Camp (JTC)
Advanced Junior Training Camp (AJTC)
Junior Survival Camp (JSC)

Rafting at Western Pow-Wow 2009

In this camp, I learned how and what sea rafting is. Being able to sea raft, first is to have water confidence which is to trust that the water is safe. Then you must know how to move with the life jacket on. I enjoyed the food most as I do not eat most of the food on my plate at home. I learned from Nicholas the ‘real’ way of saying ‘Hello’. I found out one of my talents is sports! I gained more courage and bravery. Being able to be in this camp is special as we learned to clear trash, wash our plates, take care of our belongings and trust in our friends. The last game needed teamwork and I learned more about how to work as a team. I now know the treasure that God gave us—ourselves. Everybody is special and no one in the world is the same as you.

First Batch of RR-NYAA Recipients

Congratulations to the 11 Royal Rangers from Outpost #12 (Eternal Life) who received their silver and bronze NYAA awards at a ceremony held at Singapore Polytechnic. Watch the award presentation and the speech by Paul Yeo, describing his experiences.

The RR-NYAA Scheme

The RR-NYAA scheme was announced at the 2009 Leaders’ Council on 1 November. Listen to the introduction by Commander Evelyn Leong, Outpost #12.

Outpost #12 was the first Outpost to initiate this idea and has shown the benefits with getting Royal Rangers merits and program recognised as an NYAA authorised organisation.
